Shine and Zapp on a motorcycle driving along when Shine suddenly sees A Fucked Up Van with human bodies being loaded into it. he freaks out, then realizes No One Else sees it but him. The people loading the van take notice of Shine's attention and after Shine and Zapp drive away the strangers jump them on the road, injuring Zapp and kidnapping Shine as they realize he has the Eyes of the Gods
A man asks if Shine has the All Seeing Eyes of the Gods. Then Shine is tasked to look at a piece of paper gripped by a severed hand to reveal the names written on it. His eyes freak out, his vision sparking.
In his heightened state he's taken to The Void to look for The 13 Elder Blood Breeds. When he gazes down it's an utter sea of red auras and Shine's eyes begin to bleed.

In this memory, Shine goes to a special part of town only humans are allowed into in order to get some fast food. On his way out, a lil tiny alterworlder gets hit by a truck???? He's fine but desperate for fast food. Shine ends up befriending the lil guy called Nej and they start meeting up all the time so that Shine can bring him burgers. There's a conversation in there with Zapp where Zapp explains to Shine why the fast food places only exist where the alterworlders can't go--the brands don't want their products seen with the Weirdos. To the point where all To Go meals are sent out in plain wrappers and bags rather than branded.
Shine brings Nej a branded wrapper with a cartoon character on it, delighting Nej!
Nej forgets to meet Shine while Shine also hears about an unusual amnesia incident. Shine follows up on it.
Nej gets captured by the truck drivers who earlier hit him. And Shine is captured as well. They explain that if they can harvest the spores he shoots out when upset, they can use it to amnesia people and solve their problems. They beat Neh as a bound Shine screams for them to stop. Nej refuses to react however, not wanting to cause himself amnesia and forget Shine.
As Shine watches Nej get beaten he screams for them to stop, using his eye ability to disorient the two truck drivers. They stumble, one falling on Shine and breaking his concentration.
The remaining driver loses his temper, takes his bat, and cracks it into Shine's face. The last thing Shine hears is Nej crying out.
Shine wakes up in the hospital, not remembering the last few weeks of his life. When he gets out he ends up wandering to get burgers, for some reason ordering more than he needs. he eats one and cries.
Then a weird lil guy gets hit by a truck, bouncing over to him. he asks for a burger and a deja vu struck Shine obliges.
